About U of H

During my tenure the C. T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston ranked 44 in the nation and # 1 in Houston, according to US News and World Report.

Bauer's Management department was one of only five U.S. schools with multiple Academy of Management Journal Hall of Fame members.

Bauer had the # 1 marketing faculty in Houston and was in the top 5% worldwide.

The Bauer College of Business was also one of the largest AACSB-accredited undergraduate business programs in the country. AACSB International accreditation represents the highest standard of achievement for business schools, worldwide. AACSB International accreditation is the hallmark of excellence in management education.

Dean's List

The University of Houston Dean's List: To qualify for this recognition, undergraduate students must earn a 3.50 minimum grade point average on 12 or more semester hours completed during the semester.

I made the Universities Dean's list for all semesters in which a grade point was calculated.

The National Dean's List

Only 1% of the students from our nation's 3000 colleges and universities are honored by The National Dean's List each year based on academic achievements. I was honored in 2004-2005; 2005-2006.

Only 1% of the students from our nation's 3000 colleges and universities are honored by The Chancellor's List each year based on academic achievements. I was honored in 2004-2005; 2005-2006.

Harry B. & Aileen B. Gordon Scholarship

A $1000 scholarship awarded by the Bauer College Scholarship Committee based on academic merit. The award was given during 2005-2006

419 Marshall Condominiums Association

This non-profit corporation was organized pursuant to the Texas Non-Profit Corporation Act to administer the operation and management of a condominium project. All owners of recorded fee simple title to one or more units in the condominium project are members of the Association.

The Board of Directors consists of volunteers from the Association who are elected to positions by fellow owners and members. The Board of Directors manages the affairs of the Association. Since 2000, I have rotated through key positions such as secretary, treasurer, and president. At this time, I serve as president-elect.

Golden Key International Honour Society

An academic honor society which recognizes and encourages scholastic achievement and excellence among college and university students from all academic disciplines. The Golden Key International Honour Society invites those academic achievers who rank in the top 15% of the class to join. I have been a member since 2005.

Business Marketing Association

Representing a lifetime of expertise in business-to-business marketing and communications, the Business Marketing Association has been the pre-eminent service organization for professionals in this field for more than 80 years. I have been a member since 2006.

American Marketing Association

As the leading source for information, knowledge sharing and development in the marketing profession, the American Marketing Association has become one of the largest professional associations for marketers. I have been a member since 2006.

Society for Human Resource Management

I was an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management student organization at the University of Houston before joining the national association in 2006.

The Society for Human Resource Management is the world's largest association devoted to human resource management.

FranklinCovey

Organizations, teams and individuals around the world recognize FranklinCovey as the global leader in effectiveness training, productivity tools, and assessment services.

I took the course FOCUS: Achieving Your Highest Priorities, which teaches their world famous time management principles. This course helped to refine my planning and organizational skills.
